For teenagers in the USA, working part-time to earn some money is very usual.

In California, of 12 and 13 can work but only as babysitters, paper boys/girls, gardeners, or singers and only fo three hours a day. Older children, 16 and 17 years old, can work longer and can work in , fast food restaurants and as pizza delivery boys/girls.

Most teenagers say they work for a little extra pocket money and usually agree that it is good experience for their children. They say that working part-time teaches young people about and the real world.
